America Awarded George Soros: America honored 19 people with its country’s highest civilian honor. Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, controversial investor George Soros, famous footballer Lionel Messi, fashion designer Ralph Lauren and many others were honored by America with its highest civilian honour.
President Joe Biden honored all of them with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor, at a White House ceremony on Saturday.
Alleged anti-India George Soros gets honor
America honored 94-year-old George Soros with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor. George Soros always remains in the news in Indian politics. In the recently concluded winter session, BJP had raised the issue of Soros-backed organizations involved in anti-India activities. Also, BJP had allegedly talked about Congress’s relations with these organizations. After this the opposition started protesting strongly on this issue.
What did Joe Biden say?
According to news agency AP, Joe Biden said that for the last time as President, I have the honor of presenting the country’s highest civilian honor, the Medal of Freedom, to extraordinary people. Talking about the people who were honored, Biden said that these people have made great efforts for the culture and purpose of America. Biden further said that I just want to say to you all, thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you have done to help this country.
